SYNOPSIS
Angelly Moncayo, an actress, writer, and health and wellness coach, embodies the struggle and strength of a woman who decides to remove her breast implants to challenge the stereotypes of female attractiveness imposed upon her and to save her life when her body reaches its limit. Through this experience, she becomes an activist and founder of the ASIA Recovery project, an international movement that has helped and saved the lives of many women by providing access to information and raising awareness about this silent syndrome among healthcare professionals.

ANGELLY MONCAYO

Angelly Moncayo was born on November 4, 1979, in Cali, Colombia. With a career spanning over 20 years in the entertainment industry, she has appeared in various soap opera that have been viewed worldwide.
As the years went by, her health started to be significantly affected, and she discovered that she had a little-known condition referred to by patients as "Breast Implant Illness." In response to this, she immersed herself in research, speaking with both patients and healthcare professionals who have not only helped her gain more knowledge about this condition but also guided many people suffering from ASIA Syndrome, the medical term for this illness, through their own journeys.
Today, she is the founder of the international movement ASIA RECOVERY and is writing a book about her experience and extensive knowledge of this disease, with the aim of raising awareness and helping individuals who are in a critical state of health due to this condition.

Director
Christian Ossa is a Colombian filmmaker. He is the director of the Social Cinema Foundation. With 20 years of experience in creating innovative and independent projects with a social, cultural, and environmental focus, he leads recognized and acclaimed processes in Ibero-America.
He has extensive knowledge in directing film and audiovisual productions, as well as in designing, planning, and executing cultural events and international film festivals. He has won awards that have established him as a highly promising documentary filmmaker.
Recently, in Mérida, Spain, he premiered "MINELAND," a feature-length documentary about the stories of 6 survivors of landmines in Colombia.
"Cinema is a tool that allows us to tell stories and give them the visibility they deserve. 'Tetas Grandes' is an opportunity for the general public, organizations, institutions, and governments to focus on this important issue that affects the health of hundreds of women and their communities."
